Artist's Description
This is one of two works in pen and ink that were created as a pair (the other one is of a big-horned sheep). They are both striking images that capture the power and majesty of these amazing animals. I'm not sure why Dad doesn't do more wildlife pieces - I love both of these! Maybe I'm as fond of them as I am because they both remind me of the time during my childhood when we lived in Banff, Alberta. Living in the Rocky Mountains, it wasn't that unusual to see all kinds of wildlife - including bison (down at the Banff Buffalo Paddock). Maybe I can twist Dad's arm (not the one he paints with!!) and get him to do more like this!
